COLUMBIA, Mo. — Employees of ������, the nation's fastest-growing equipment solutions provider, will celebrate the official closing of a home they helped construct alongside Habitat for Humanity and Blitz Home Builders last year. Qonya, who also contributed sweat equity to the project, will move into her new home with her daughter this month. A closing event will be held with Qonya and her family at noon on Oct. 3, 2024, in Habitat’s Boone Prairie Subdivision.

Qonya’s dream of homeownership will become a reality thanks to the combined efforts of Show Me Central Habitat for Humanity, Blitz Home Builders and ������. The 2023 Blitz Build event in Columbia, which aimed to complete four homes in less than 10 days, saw Qonya selected as one of the recipients.

������ played a crucial role by sponsoring the build and mobilizing 40 employees to volunteer their time and expertise during the build. This support was instrumental in bringing Qonya’s dream home to life.

“We are honored to be a part of Qonya’s journey to homeownership,” said Dakarayi Chabaya, ������’s community engagement specialist. “Our employees were excited to contribute and make a meaningful impact in our community. This celebration marks a significant achievement for everyone involved.”

Throughout the summer, Qonya was actively involved in the construction of her future home, learning new skills and participating in various tasks, from framing to painting. Her dedication and hard work have been pivotal in the project’s success.

“I am incredibly grateful to Habitat for Humanity, Blitz Home Builders and ������ for making this dream possible,” Qonya said. “This new home represents a fresh start for my daughter and me, and I am thrilled to begin this new chapter in our lives.”
